Cookie Policy
Last Updated: July 27, 2026 | Effective Date: July 27, 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) by your web browser when you visit a website. Cookies help websites remember your preferences, authenticate your identity, and maintain your session across page loads.
Cookies are either first-party (set by the website you are visiting) or third-party (set by a domain other than the one you are visiting, typically for advertising or tracking).
2. Cookies We Use
Tiger Echo uses a minimal set of cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, advertising cookies, or social media tracking pixels.
2.1 Essential (Authentication) Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without making the Service unusable (you will be logged out).
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | First/Third Party |
|---|---|---|---|
| session / session_id | Maintains your logged-in session; stores user ID and authentication state | Session (cleared on logout) or up to 14 days with "Remember Me" | First-party |
| csrf_token | Cross-Site Request Forgery protection; validates form submissions | Session | First-party |
2.2 Shopify Session Cookies
When you install Tiger Echo via the Shopify App Store, Shopify issues additional session cookies for OAuth authentication. These are governed by Shopify's cookie policy.
- Purpose: Authenticate API requests between Tiger Echo and your Shopify store
- Issued by: Shopify (not Tiger Echo)
- Duration: Varies; managed by Shopify
- Policy: shopify.com/legal/cookies
3. Cookies We Do NOT Use
Tiger Echo explicitly does not use the following types of cookies:
| Type | Description | Used by Tiger Echo? |
|---|---|---|
| Analytics / Performance Cookies | Track page views, clicks, and user behavior | ❌ No |
| Advertising Cookies | Track browsing across sites to serve targeted ads | ❌ No |
| Social Media Cookies | Enable social media sharing and tracking | ❌ No |
| Retargeting Cookies | Show you ads based on your previous visits | ❌ No |
| Cross-Site Tracking Cookies | Track you across multiple websites | ❌ No |
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings at any time:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies
5. Do Not Track (DNT)
Tiger Echo respects the Do Not Track browser signal. If you have DNT enabled in your browser, we do not use non-essential tracking. Note that since we do not use non-essential cookies, DNT has no practical effect on our Service.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
